Description

Original 1st printing 7&5/8 x 5&5/8" blank-reverse concert handbill for Country Joe & the Fish appearing with the Grateful Dead, Sir Douglas Quintet, Pulse and Mint Tattoo at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, CA from 12/20-21/1968.

Designer unknown/not credited (show promoted by Scenic Sounds), image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 270 (plate 3.54).

Thin flat stock handbill is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are a series of tiny "mouse bite" edge nips scattered around the outer margin area, along with a bit of mild edge toning, a few light handling creases, a couple of light diagonal bends in the upper right corner, a couple of tiny scuffs along the upper left margin and a nearly-invisible vertical center bend, otherwise fine.

Very presentable example of this uncommon late-'68 Dead/Country Joe handbill from Southern California.
