Description

Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert/event flyer for the Rock N' Roll Picnic, a single-day event held at Benedictine Stadium in Detroit, MI on 8/31/1969.

Although not credited, apparently Russ Gibb was one of the promoters; the listed lineup includes: Keef Hartley, Lighthouse, the Stooges (featuring Iggy Pop), Friend & Lover, Third Power, Underground Wall, Wilson Mower Pursuit, Sky, Brownsville Station and Red, White & Blues Band. Item is currently designated G/G/690831A in the Eric King guide.

Artist unknown/not credited, thin flat stock flyer is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are flattened horizontal/vertical folds/creases, along with a light to moderate amount of handling wear/creasing, a few thin stress bends here and there, a trace of edge toning and a pair of decent-sized light tape pulls on the reverse side, otherwise fine.

Fairly scarce Russ Gibb-adjacent multi-act/Stooges item from a pretty obscure one-day show held in a small Detroit football stadium.
