Description

Original 1st printing 5&1/2 x 11&1/2" blank-reverse British marquee-style concert handbill (with attached booking strip) for Gerry & the Pacemakers appearing with Ben E. King, the Fourmost, Jimmy Tarbuck, Tommy Quickly, Sounds Incorporated and the Dennisons at the Capitol in Cardiff, Wales on 2/12/1964.

Design by/printed by Electric (Modern) Printing Co. Ltd., image (full-color poster from the Brighton Hippodrome) is featured in the Art of Rock on page 62 (plate 1.109), this is the two-color handbill.

Thin semi-gloss stock handbill is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there is a very thin diagonal/horizontal crease/bend stretching across "King" and "Fourmost", along with a couple of thin diagonal bends in the lower left corner and a bit of mild handling wear/light creasing, otherwise fine.

Neat-looking early British Invasion-era multi-act concert artifact from across the pond.
