Original 1st printing 17&1/2 x 22&1/2" concert poster and 8&1/2 x 11" 16-page concert program for the Young Rascals appearing with Country Joe & the Fish, the Sons of Champlin, Grateful Dead (*replacing Sparrow, who are listed on the poster) and the Grass Roots at Oakland (CA) Auditorium on 6/28/1967.
Art by Don Ryder, image (poster) is pictured on page 220 of the Art of Rock (plate 2.296).
Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; just a few stray edge dings and a tiny nip tear or two lurking around the outer margin area, a bit of corner-tip softening, a thin diagonal bend along the upper right margin/corner, a well-camouflaged stress bend/handling ding or two here and there and a bit of mild staining/scuffing on the reverse side, otherwise fine.
The program is printed on textured semi-gloss stock and is in near mint (A- to A-/B+) condition; just a bit of tightening around the spine area and a stray pinch ding or two, otherwise it is VERY sharp/clean overall.
Neat pair of original mid-1967 concert artifacts from legendary East Bay promoter Bill Quarry.
