Description

Original 1st printing 14 x 20" concert poster for Love (featuring Arthur Lee) appearing with Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band and Big Brother & the Holding Company (pre-Janis) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 5/20-22/1966.

Art by (and SIGNED in pencil by) Wes Wilson, image ("Hupmobilre-8") is # 9 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

 Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are tack holes in all four corners, along with a whisper of handling wear, a series of ultra-tiny edge dings/creases and a stray thin bend or two lurking around the outer margin area, a few light surface smudges and tiny pin-prick spots here and there and eight( 8) small pieces of clear tape on the reverse side, otherwise fine.

VERY NICE ARTIST-SIGNED 1st printing example of this very early Family Dog poster.
