Description

Original 1st printing 14 x 19&7/8" concert poster for early rock & roll pioneer Bo Diddley appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 7/28-30/1966.

Art by Mouse Studios (Stanley Mouse & Alton Kelley), image is # 18 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

Medium-thin flat vellum "construction paper" stock poster is in good (B) condition; there is an approximately 8" long thin diagonal bend stretching across the upper left quadrant, along with a series of staple holes in all four corners and scattered around the outer margin area, a small tear in the upper right margin, a bit of mild creasing and a couple of thin diagonal bends along the upper right margin, a tiny nip out of the top right corner tip and a couple of minuscule pin-prick spots hiding within the image area, otherwise OK.

Very presentable 1st printing example of this fairly early Family Dog poster.
