Original 1st printing 6&1/4 x 11" oversized blank-reverse handbill for the Palace of Fine Arts Festival, held at the PFA in San Francisco, CA from 8/30-9/2/1968.
Handbill is for the Monday 9/2 afternoon show, and lists appearances by: San Francisco Mime Troupe, Crome Syrcus, Sons of Champlin, Country Weather, Randy Boone, Black Pearl and the Grateful Dead. *GD cancelled, played Sky River instead
Design by San Andreas Fault (Tad Hunter), image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 205 (plate 2.239).
Medium-thin glossy stock handbill is in excellent (B+) condition; there is a VERY soft (almost invisible) thin diagonal bend (about 4" long) stretching across the upper left corner/quadrant, along with a few tiny bends/creases scattered around the outer margin area, a few soft handling dings here and there, a tiny white spot in the lower right corner tip and a soft moisture spot between "Randy Boone" and "Black Pearl", otherwise fine.
VERY SHARP example of this rather elusive multi-act/festival from the AOR, first one of these to pass through!
