Description

Original 17&1/2 x 20&3/8" aluminum printing plate, along with a 1st printing 14&1/8 x 20" concert poster and and an 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer for the "Phoenix Sunflower Dance", a benefit show featuring Quicksilver Messenger Service, Big Brother & the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin), Country Joe & the Fish and the Steve Miller Band, held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 3/12/1967.

Artist not credited, medium flat vellum stock poster is in near mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; just a few ultra-light handling creases/soft pinch dings here and there and that's pretty much it... a mostly-clean example.

Thin flat stock flyer is in decent (B/B-) condition; there is a bit of handling wear, along with a small dime-sized stain in the lower left margin, a couple of thin diagonal bends and a small hole in the lower left margin, a bit of wear (a few tiny nips/creases) along the left margin, a few tiny surface scuffs and light pin-prick spots here and there and a bit of inspired psychedelic doodling (in black pen) on there reverse, otherwise OK.

The aluminum printing plate has the usual amount of print-shop wear- scuffing/scratching, ink smearing, etc... No letter grade really applies here, but it is in pretty good shape overall as far as printing plates go.

VERY COOL and unique set of original 1967 Fillmore artifacts, right from the print shop.
