Description

Original 1st printing 22&1/2 x 14" concert/event poster for the Fist Annual Carson City Labor Day Music & Art Festival, a one-day show featuring appearances by Joy of Cooking, Boz Scaggs, the Doobie Brothers, Elvin Bishop, Cold Blood and Stoneground, held at T-Car Speedway in Carson City, NV on 9/3/1972.

Design by Rainbow Zenith, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 377 (plate 4.138).

Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; there are a couple of tiny pin-prick age spots along the upper right margin, along with a small diagonal bend in the upper right corner tip, a hint of edge toning and a few tiny dings scattered around the outer margin area, a few light thin surface scratches/fingerprint smudges hiding within the image area and a bit of light pencil scratch on the reverse, otherwise fine.

Semi-uncommon early-'70's concert poster from a somewhat obscure event featuring an all-Bay Area lineup.
