Original 1st printing 14&1/4 x 19&7/8" concert poster for the one and only Captain Beefheart (and His Magic Band) appearing with the Charlatans at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 8/26-27/1966.

 Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are staple/pin holes in the upper left/right corners, in the top center margin and in the second "e" of "Beefheart", along with a small 3/4" scratch/drag tear in the "a" of "Captain", few stray handling creases/bends scattered around the outer margin area, a couple of tiny pin-prick drip spots in the "a" of "Charlatans", a tiny stress crease or two hiding within the image area, a touch of toning and a couple of tiny pin-prick rust spots on the reverse side, otherwise fine.

Overall, a very presentable 1st printing example of this early Avalon poster.
