Original 1st printing 7 x 20" concert poster for the Fifth Memphs Blues Festival, held at Overton Park Bandshell in Memphis, TN on 10/24/1970.
Acts listed include: Bukka White, Furry Lewis, (Mississippi) Fred McDowell and Johnny Woods, Southern Fife & Drum Corps, Piano Red, G.P. Watkins, Lum Guffin, Beale Street Four, the Untouchables, Rev. Robert Wilkins, Memphis Gospel Singers, Black Rock, Sid Selvidge, Moloch "and others".
Artist unknown/not credited image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 52 (plate 1.83).
Medium-thin textured semi-gloss stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are tack holes in all four corners (a couple with tiny rust spots), along with a semi-flattened horizontal center crease with a trio of tiny pin holes lurking around "Bukka White", a few small pin-prick stains on the "oo" of "Afternoon", a couple of stray spots/dings hiding within the image area, a whisper of handling wear and a bit of light creasing along the upper margin area, otherwise fine.
Neat little "phone-pole"-style banner poster for the final edition of the original Memphis Blues Festival, I didn't even realize this one was in the AOR until I looked it up... pretty obscure AOR image, this is the first example I have ever offered up.
