Original 1st printing 19&7/8 x 12&1/8" cardboard concert/event poster for the 11th edition of the annual Berkeley Folk Festival, held at assorted venues across the campus of the University of California in Berkeley, CA on 7/4/1966.
Design by Barry Olivier (not credited), poster lists festival participants Quicksilver Messenger Service, Howlin' Wolf Band, Floating Lotus Magic Opera David & Tina Meltzer, John Fahey, Andrews Sisters, Alice Stuart Thomas, Sam Hinton, Shlomo Carlebach, Jesse Fuller, Joan Baez ("Special Guest Artist") and MANY more.
Thick cardboard stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; just a couple of tiny diagonal pressure creases in the upper left/right corner tips, a touch of mild edge toning, a stray stress bend or two hiding within the image area and a very subtle soft moisture wave to the board along the bottom margin, otherwise fine.
Very cool mid-1968 multi-act festival artifact from the annual UC Berkeley-sponsored event. For more on the "counterculture years" of the BFF (including photos), click HERE:
