Official promoter-issued (1966/67) 2nd printing 14&1/4 x 20" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with the Oxford Circle at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 9/16-17/1966.
Art by Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse (central image by Edmund Sullivan), image ("Skeleton & Roses") is # 26 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.
Medium flat vellum stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are tiny pin holes in all four corners, along with a bit of subtle edge toning (uneven in a couple of places), a fingernail-sized surface pull in the lower right margin, a tiny sliver of edge toning along the top/bottom margins, a soft smudge in the upper right margin, a touch of minor handling wear and the reverse side has a couple of dark tape marks (upper left/right corners), a couple of VERY light smudges and a "Peter Geller Distribution" stamp, otherwise it is a VERY nice-looking gently-used 2nd printing example of this ICONIC Mouse/Kelley Grateful Dead poster.
The seconds have actually been much harder to come by in recent years, I haven't had one pass through in a couple of years.
