Original 1st printing 13&7/8 x 19&7/8" (top/bottom margins each trimmed by appx. 1/8") concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 1/27-28/1967.
Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, image is # 45 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.
Medium flat index stock poster is in good/decent (B/B-) condition; aside from the previously-mentioned edge trimming, there are tiny pin holes in the upper left/right corners and in the right center margin, plus a tiny edge ding or two lurking around the outer margin area, a stray surface smudge/fingerprint or two hiding within the image area, a minor discoloration/fade in the lower right margin/corner and the reverse side has a couple of old brown tape marks and a "Peter Geller Distribution" stamp, but otherwise it looks pretty nice.... if not for the edge trimming, this one would grade out MUCH higher.
Very presentable 1st printing example of this always-popular early 1967 Mouse/Kelley Grateful Dead/Quicksilver poster from the Avalon.
