Original 1st printing 20 x 14" concert poster for the 2nd Annual Tribal Stomp, featuring Quicksilver Messenger Service appearing with Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) and Oxford Circle at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 2/17-18/1967.
Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley with a photo by Bob Seidemann, image is # 48 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.
Medium-thick glossy stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are pin/tack holes in the upper left/right corners and in the lower left/right margins, along with a couple of hairline-thin bends in the upper left/right corners/margins, a series of VERY thin surface scratches zig-zagging across (mostly) the right side of the image area, a few tiny edge dings/corner-tip bumps, a well-camouflaged handling/stress bend or two hiding within the image area and a couple of small tape marks/pulls (and a Peter Geller Distributor stamp) on the reverse side, otherwise fine.
Overall, a very decent-looking 1st printing example of this early-'67 Avalon poster featuring a great photo of Big Brother guitarist James Gurley.
