Description

Original 1st printing 13&5/8 x 20&3/4" concert poster for the Blues Project appearing with the Mothers of Invention (featuring Frank Zappa) and Canned Heat at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA from 2/17-19/1967. (*see below for addendum to 2/19 show)

Art by Wes Wilson, image is # 50 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.

Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are tiny pin holes in all four corners, along with a couple of pin-prick white surface chips on the "e" of "Blues" and just to the right of the "r" of "Febr.", a well-camouflaged soft handling ding or two hiding within the image area and the reverse side has a few dark tape shadows (upper margin area and in the lower left margin) and a tiny bit of pen scratch in the upper right corner, otherwise it is a SUPERB example of this early-1967 Wes Wilson Fillmore poster with extra-bright colors and an unbeatable lineup.

*local bands "All-Night Flight" and "The Wheel" both played "audition" sets on Saturday, in addition to the headlining bands.
