Original 1st printing 14 x 22" concert/event poster for the Turner Falls International Pop Festival, a 2-day event which was slated to be held* at an undisclosed venue ("In the Arbuckle Mountains") in Davis, OK from 8/8-9/1970. *festival was apparently cancelled a month before it was supposed to happen
Design by D. Newell, poster lists appearances by the Aphro-Dity, Bloodrock, Courtship, Heavy Sugar, Flying Burrito Brothers, Isrofell, IZE, Judd, Mason Proffit, Pacific Gas & Electric, Soul Purpose, Sugarloaf, Sweet Smoke, the Byrds and Zephyr.
Thick cardboard stock poster (printed by Colorcraft of Oklahoma City) is in very good (B/B+) condition; there is a light to moderate amount of toning around the outer margin area, along with a small nip (and a tiny fingerprint smudge) in the lower right corner tip, a slightly rounded/scuffed bottom left corner tip, a tiny scuff/thin stress bend or two hiding within the image area, a small pin-prick indentation in the upper right corner and the reverse side has a bit of ultra-light moisture discoloration around the outer margin area, otherwise fine.
Interesting mid-1970 concert artifact from an obscure event in southern Oklahoma.
