Original 1st printing 17&3/8 x 25" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with Moby Grape, Love (with Arthur Lee) and Blue Crumb Truck Factory appearing at Winterland in San Francisco, CA on 3/3/1967* (after a few false starts, this was actually the very first GD appearance at Winterland).
Art by (Donna) Herrick, image ("The First Annual Love Circus") is featured in the Art of Rock on page 188 (plate 2.194).
Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are tack/pin holes in all four corner tips, along with a series of light handling dings/tiny stress creases scattered around the outer margin area, a 2" diagonal hairline bend in the upper left corner, a small dime-sized stain in the lower left corner and a bit of spotting along the lower left margin, a few well-camouflaged thin bends in the corner tips, a touch of handling wear and a couple of VERY soft stains in the reverse, otherwise it is a GREAT-looking example of the VERY FIRST Grateful Dead Winterland poster.
