Original 1st printing 19&1/8 x 15&1/4" broadside-style concert poster for "Sacred Cow- a Carpeted Dance Offering", featuring appearances by Quicksilver Messenger Service, Big Brother and the Holding Company (BEFORE Janis Joplin joined), P.H. Phactor Jug Band and Our Mother's Children, held at the Geary Temple in San Francisco, CA on 4/2/1966.
Artist unknown/not credited, medium-thick flat vellum stock letterpress poster has been professionally restored to very good/excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there has been a fairly extensive amount of edge/corner repair/touch-up around the outer margin area, along with a semi-flattened 7-8" diagonal bend in the lower left quadrant, a series of thin stress bends and a couple of tiny surface scratches hiding within the image area and a few tiny edge/corner-tip dings, otherwise OK.
EARLY Quicksilver/Big Brother poster from an infamous San Francisco landmark. Read more about the building (and some of the concerts held there) HERE:
