Original 1st printing 13&1/8 x 18&5/8" concert/event poster for the Haight-Ashbury Festival, a benefit for the Haight-Ashbury Children's Center, held at the Golden Gate Park Panhandle in San Francisco, CA from 5/24-25/1969.
Poster lists appearances by Country Joe McDonald, the Afro-Cubanos, Pipe Joint Compound, Johnny Sunshine, the Pitschell Players and many more.
Art by Wes Wilson, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 206 (plate 2.243).
Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; there is a tiny 1/2" scratch/scrape in the lower left corner (going through "See"), along with a few semi-soft handling creases scattered around the outer margin area, a couple of very thin hairline horizontal stress bends hiding along the lower margin area and a couple of nearly-invisible (mostly visible on the reverse side) soft horizontal roll bends, otherwise fine.
FANTASTIC looking example of this always-popular 1969 Wes Wilson poster from the AOR.
