Description

Original 1st printing 14 x 20" poster for "Tartuffe", performed by the San Francisco Mime Troupe, held at the Veteran's Auditorium in Berkeley, CA on 4/22/1965.

Designer unknown/not credited (shows were promoted by Mary Ann Pollar), medium-thick flat index stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there is a small 1/2" bend in the lower left corner, along with a small pressure crease/ding along the bottom left margin, a series of small edge tears along the upper left margin, a couple of hairline-thin diagonal bends running along the left margin (including a 6-7" bend that stretches through the left side of the first "T" in "Tartuffe"), a thin bend going through the "r" of "Francisco" and a series of thin scratches/indentations on the reverse side, otherwise fine.

FASCINATING early 1965 Mime Troupe item from a few months before Bill Graham started putting his name on all of the promotional materials.
