Original 1st printing 6&1/4 x 8&7/8" concert/event handbill for the Wembley Rock N' Roll Show, a one-day event held at Wembley Stadium in London, England on 8/5/1972.
Designer unknown, flyer lists appearances by Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bo Diddley, Bill Haley & the Comets, the Platters, the Coasters, the Drifters, MC5, (Screaming) Lord Sutch, the Move (*replaced by Roy Wood's Wizzard) and Gary Glitter.
Designer unknown/not credited, medium-thin glossy stock handbill is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; ther is a single pin hole in the top center margin, along with a bit of light handling wear/creasing, a couple of thin soft diagonal bends along the upper left margin, a few well-camouflaged soft bends and tiny stress creases hiding within the image area and "1972" written in blue ballpoint pen on the reverse side, otherwise fine.
Neat little early-'70's multi-act concert handbill from the first-ever rock show held at the legendary UK stadium. There is a great period film of the event featuring performances (Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bill Haley) and interviews with several of the performers, check it out HERE:
