Original 1st printing 14 x 20" concert poster for the Grass Roots appearing with the Leaves and the Grateful Dead (*Sat. only) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 5/27-28/1966.

 Art by Wes Wilson, image ("Hayfever") is # 10 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

 Medium flat vellum stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are staple holes in all four corners, along with a bit of pronounced creasing in the lower left margin/corner, a small nip out of the bottom right margin, a pair of small tears (with a tiny bend between them) in the lower right margin, a few stray soft handling creases and thin bends hiding within the image area, a small pin-prick spot along the upper left margin, a pronounced stress bend going through "27" and a few tape pulls on the reverse side, otherwise OK.

All in all, a pretty nice-looking gently-worn 1st printing example of the very first Grateful Dead poster in the numbered Avalon series.
