Original 1st printing 14&1/8 x 20" concert poster for Chicago blues legend Howlin' Wolf appearing with Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 9/23-24/1966 (*show was canceled).

 Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; this example has a thin vertical sliver of pronounced creasing/wear along the extreme upper left margin, along with a bit of light creasing/wear along the left/right margins, a couple of stray handling dings and a tiny stress crease or two hiding within the image area, a bit of corner-tip creasing (a few tiny diagonal hairline bends), a trace of mild moisture rippling and a set of fairly light tape pulls on the reverse, otherwise fine.

VERY nice-looking gently-worn example of this ICONIC mid-'66 Mouse/Kelley poster from the Avalon. The ink on this one is pretty strong and the paper is still quite bright.
