Original 1st printing 13&3/4 x 20&7/8" concert poster for Jefferson Airplane appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service, Santana, It's A Beautiful Day and Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks in a legal-aid benefit for the Grateful Dead (to assist the band's legal costs from their infamous January 1970 bust in New Orleans), held at Winterland in San Francisco, CA on 2/23/1970.
Art by Randy Tuten, image is # 222 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.
Medium glossy-coated index stock poster has been restored to excellent (B+) condition; all four corners have had diagonal tape stains/surface pulls repaired (color-touch up in a couple of areas and there are a few little rub marks/scuffs remaining) and there are a few little hairline-thin stress bends and semi-soft handling dings scattered around the outer margin area (and one or two hiding within the image area), but overall the piece looks pretty good- definitely WAY more presentable than it once was and the image area is quite nice (and untouched).
Overall, a very decent-looking quasi-restored BG 222 priced at about half of what they usually go for.
