Description
Original 1st printing 15 x 20" concert poster for the MC5 appearing with the Charles Moore Ensemble and the Spikedrivers at the See nightclub in Detroit, MI from 6/23-24/1967.
Art by Gary Grimshaw, the image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 297 (plate 3.131).
Medium-thin flat llum stock poster is has been restored to good/very good (B to B/B+) condition; all four corners/edges have had quite a bit of repair (edge tears sealed, several areas of touch-up/color repair) and the paper has retained a bit of moisture warping all around the outer margin area, along with a small 3/4" tear in the upper right corner, a light amount of toning, a thin stress bend or two hiding within the image area, a thin diagonal bend in the lower right corner and a couple of uneven edges, otherwise OK.
Very presentable restored example of this low-run mid-'67 Grimshaw flyer from a tiny venue in Detroit.
