Description
Original 1st printing 13&1/2 x 21&1/4" concert poster for B.B. King appearing with Howlin' Wolf at Bowen Field House on the campus of Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilati, MI on 3/23/1973.
Art by (and SIGNED in pencil by) Gary Grimshaw, medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are tack holes in all four corners, along with a bit of semi-pronounced creasing/wear, a few additional holes and a couple of tiny edge nips along the upper right margin, a slight discoloration along the left side of the Howlin' Wolf photo and along the left side the date/venue, a few stray edge dings/soft pinch bends scattered around the outer margin area, a stray stress/handling crease or two and a few ultra-tiny pin-prick spots hiding within the image area and a hint of curling to the paper, otherwise OK.
Fairly scarce early-'70's Gary Grimshaw/Rainbow Graphics image from a small Michigan college show, this is the first one of these that I have come across.
