Original 1st printing 5&5/8 x 8&1/4" double-sided concert/event handbill for the 9th National Jazz & Blues Festival, originally scheduled to be held at West Drayton, near London, England from 8/8-10/1969. (*venue was moved to Plumpton Race Track in Sussex) *this is the FIRST-STATE version with the original West Drayton info.
Designer unknown, handbill lists appearances by a who's who of British (and some international) talent, including Pink Floyd, the Who, Family, the Nice, Keef Hartley, Blodwyn Pig, King Crimson, Bonzo Dog Band, Roy Harper, Idle Race, Yes and MANY more.
Thin glossy stock handbill is in decent/used (B/B-) condition; there are semi-flattened horizontal/vertical creases, plus a series of pin/tack holes (in all four corners, along the top/bottom margins and about 9-10 additional holes scattered around the image area), a couple of tiny bends in the upper right corner, a relatively minor amount of handling wear/light creasing and a few soft bends hiding within the image area... definitely a bit on the used side, but it's all there.
Conditional issues aside, still a VERY COOL little late-'60's UK Festival artifact with an absolutely KILLER lineup. Check out photos/recollections from the event HERE:
