Original 1st printing 5&1/4 x 10&1/2" concert/event handbill for the 6/10-11/1967 KFRC Fantasy Fair and Magic Mountain Music Festival, held at Mount Tamalpais Amphitheater in Marin, CA. (*originally scheduled to run from 6/3-4, but postponed due to rain)
Two-day event (held the weekend before the Monterey Pop Festival) handbill lists performances by the Miracles, the Blues Magoos, the Byrds, Wilson Pickett, the Seeds, the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Country Joe & the Fish, the Grass Roots, Hugh Masakela, Tim Hardin, Mojo Men, Moby Grape, Tim Buckley, Kim Weston, the Sparrow, Roger Collins, P.F. Sloan, the Merry-Go-Round the Loading Zone, Smokey & His Sister and Every Mother's Son. (*not all of the acts listed actually played, and there were several bands not on the handbill that did appear- Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band, for one)
Artist unknown, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 227 (plate 2.320).
Thin flat stock handbill is in nea mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; with the exception of a couple of nearly-invisible soft pinch dings along the left margin, it is an EXCEPTIONALLY nice-looking example of this neat little original 1967 handbill from one of the earliest "hippie" music festivals.
