Original 1st printing 6&1/4 x 9&3/4" double-sided KYA-AM radio survey/concert/event handbill for the first Northern California Folk-Rock Festival, held at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose, CA from 5/18-19/1968.
Handbill lists performances by the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Big Brother & the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin), Country Joe & the Fish, Youngbloods, Loading Zone, Taj Mahal, and the Dirty Blues Band. Also appeared (not listed): Grateful Dead, Electric Flag and MANY more.
This is the first-state version of the handbill featuring the top 60 hits of the week from the week of May 4-10, 1968 ("Tighten Up" by Archie Bell and the Drells at #1) on the reverse side.
Artist unknown/not credited, thin flat stock handbill/survey is in near mint (A-) condition; there's really nothing more than a couple of ultra-tiny corner-tip bumps and a tiny pinch ding or two hiding within the image area, otherwise it is a mostly-mint example.
Nifty little original concert artifact from the 1968 Northern California Folk-Rock Festival. Check out footage of the Doors performing at the event HERE:
