Original 1st printing 6&1/4 x 9&3/4" double-sided KYA-AM radio survey/concert/event handbill for the first Northern California Folk-Rock Festival, held at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose, CA from 5/18-19/1968.
Handbill lists performances by the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Big Brother & the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin), Eric Burdon & the Animals, Country Joe & the Fish, Electric Flag, Youngbloods, Loading Zone, People, Kaleidoscope, Taj Mahal, Transatlantic Flash, Smokestack Lightning, Crome Syrcus, Indian Head Band and the Dirty Blues Band. Also appeared (not listed): Grateful Dead and others.
This is the second-state version of the handbill featuring KYA's top 60 hits of the week from May 5-11/1968 ("Tighten Up" by Archie Bell and the Drells at #1) on the reverse side.
Artist unknown/not credited, thin flat stock handbill/survey is in near mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; aside from a few light bends/tiny handling creases hiding within the image area and a tiny bend in the top left corner, it is in really nice shape overall.
Very cool little concert artifact from the 1968 NCFR Fest! Check out footage of the Doors performing at the event HERE:
