Description

Original 1st printing 13 x 19&7/8" concert poster for Quicksilver Messenger Service appearing with Sugar Creek and Roxy at the Boston Tea Party (Landsdowne St location) in Boston, MA from 4/9-11/1970.

Art by Alton Kelley, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 406 (plate 4.229) medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; the only real major issue with this example is a very clean/straight horizontal center crease going through the middle of the poster... beyond that, there's a thin 2" diagonal bend in the lower left corner and a few soft handling dings around the outer margin area, but overall it is a VERY sharp example.

KILLER (and not all that easy to find) mid-1970 BTP poster with a really sharp Kelley design. This one is from the brief period in early 1970 when Kelley had moved back east and was working around the Boston/Cambridge area.
