Original 1st printing 14 x 20" concert poster for the Grass Roots appearing with the Leaves and the Grateful Dead (*Sat. only) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 5/27-28/1966.

 Art by Wes Wilson, image ("Hayfever") is # 10 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

 Medium flat vellum stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are tack holes in all four corners (the top right corner has a tiny wedge pull and the other corners have tiny drag tears (reinforced on the reverse side with clear tape), along with a few semi-soft handling creases, light surface smudges/tiny pin-prick spots hiding within the image area, a couple of soft bends along the lower margin area, a tiny bend in the upper right corner and a few ultra-tiny edge creases scattered around the outer margin area, otherwise fine.

All in all, a VERY nice-looking 1st printing example of the very first Grateful Dead poster in the numbered Avalon series.
