Description

Original 1st printing 14&1/8 x 19&7/8" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with Oxford Circle at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 11/4-5/1966

Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, image is # 33 in the Family Dog/Avalon series. (OP-1 in the Eric King guide)

Medium-thick semi-textured vellum stock poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; there are multiple staple holes in the upper left/right corners and in the top center margin, along with tack holes in the lower left/right corners and a nail hole in the lower left/center margin, along with a few well-camouflaged stress creases/handling dings hiding within the image area, a small drip stain/streak and a small dark spot just to the left of "Presents", a few tiny edge creases and a couple of tiny nip tears along the left and bottom margins, a couple of tiny diagonal hairline corner-tip bends in the upper left/right corners, a few stray soft bends hiding within the image area and a small stain on the reverse, otherwise OK.

An overall decent-looking semi-used 1st printing example of this always-popular late-'66 Family Dog Grateful Dead poster.
