Original 1st printing 12&3/4 x 17" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with Shades of Joy, the Gestalt Fool Theatre Family, New Generation Singers and American Indian Dancers appearing in a benefit for ASR Waves People's Radio, held at the Fillmore West (advertised as Carousel Ballroom) in San Francisco, CA on 3/3/1971. *poster erroneously lists the year as 1970
Art by Mairanda Bergman, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 182 (plate 2.171).
Medium flat index stock poster is in used (B-) condition; the poster has been permanently heat-mounted to a piece of Crescent art board, along with tack holes (all four corners and top/bottom center), a pair of flattened horizontal bends traversing the image area, a bit of corner-tip/edge wear and a moderate degree of ink spread (a ghost image of the blue plate) along the right side of the poster... definitely more of an artifact than anything, but a very cool one and it's still in presentable shape.
