Original 1st printing 6&1/4 x 7&7/8" double-sided concert handbill/card for the Grateful Dead appearing with the New Riders of the Purple Sage and Rubberduck Company (*along with special guests David Crosby on 7/14 and Janis Joplin on 7/16) at the Euphoria (Pepperland) in San Rafael, CA on 7/14 and 7/16/1970.
Art by San Andreas Fault (Tad Hunter), image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 364 (plate 4.93).
Medium glossy coated index stock card/handbill (with a map to the venue and coming attractions on the reverse) is in excellent (B+) condition; there is a small soft stain in the lower left margin, along with a tiny bend in the upper right margin, a couple of tiny corner-tip bumps, a whisper of surface wear and a tiny ink smudge under the "r" of "Grateful, otherwise fine.
This example (unlike many existing examples in circulation) DOES NOT have hand-written date corrections below "Grateful", apparently this one was distributed before the additional show was added. Fairly hard-to-find version (no writing) of this original 1970 Grateful Dead handbill from a legendary set of Northern California shows. Listen to the 7/16 show (with Janis Joplin sitting in on "Lovelight") HERE:
