Original 1st printing 13&3/4 x 22" concert poster for the Who appearing with Buddy Guy and Free Spirits at the Fillmore East in New York, NY from 4/5-6/1968.
Art by Helen Hersh, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 157 (plate 2.91) and is the SECOND image in the Bill Graham/Fillmore East series.
Medium flat vellum stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there is a nearly-invisible 3" diagonal hairline bend in the upper left corner, along with a VERY soft horizontal roll bend going through the very top edge of "Who", a tiny bend and a slight bit of softening to the top right corner tip, a bit of light creasing, a tiny nip tear and a thin diagonal crease with a tiny surface pull along the lower right margin/corner, a thin bend going through "phone", a couple of minuscule hairline creases in the lower left margin, a couple of nearly-invisible surface stains around "Fillmore" (you kind of have to tilt the poster towards a light source to see them) and a few well-camouflaged soft handling dings hiding within the image area, otherwise fine.
Needless to say, this is probably (next to the Grand Opening poster) the most coveted and hard-to-find 1st printing posters in the ENTIRE Fillmore East set... for whatever reason it just NEVER COMES UP. This is the first (and ONLY) time I have ever offered this poster up for sale, and I don't expect to see another one very soon.
