Original 1st printing (*no Portal Publications credit) 15&7/8 x 22" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing at the Ark in Sausalito, CA on 10/6/1967.

 Art by John Lichtenwalner (not credited), image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 224 (plate 309). 

 Medium flat smooth index stock poster is in decent (B/B-) condition; there are a number of fossilized tape marks/slight surface pulls in all four corners and in the top/bottom center margin, along with a set of large tack holes in the upper left/right corners, a couple of additional tape shadows and a small tear in the bottom margin, a few tiny pin-prick spots, hairline-thin stress bends and light handling creases hiding within the image area, a couple of slightly rounded corner tips and a bit of toning on the reverse, otherwise OK.

 While this example may not sit at the top of the conditional heap, it is still in presentable shape and not all that easy to find without the PP credit.
