Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert/event flyer for the Gathering of the Tribes/Human Be-In ("Pow Wow"), held at the Polo Grounds in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park on 1/14/1967.
 
 Flyer lists appearances by counterculture heroes Lenore Kandel, Timothy Leary, Michael McClure, Allen Ginsberg, Gary Snyder, Richard Alpert, Jerry Rubin, Dick Gregory, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, "all SF rock bands" (which included Jefferson Airplane, Quicksilver Messenger Service and the Grateful Dead, although none are mentioned by name).
 
 Art by Michael Bowen (this is the version with a map to the event in the central image area), thin flat stock flyer is in near mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; other than a few ultra-soft handling dings here and there, a soft diagonal roll bend and a tiny bump in the upper right corner/margin and a few tiny pin-prick scuff marks on the reverse side, it is an absolutely SUPERB example of this somewhat uncommon/hard-to-find version of the "Pow-Wow" flyer.
