Original 1st printing 5&1/2 x 7&3/4" concert handbill for Quicksilver Messenger Service appearing with Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin -her first headlining performances with BBHC) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 6/24-25/1966.
Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, image ("Zig-Zag Man") is # 14 in the Family Dog/Avalon series. This version has the gold FD logo and is designated FD 14-OHB-A in the Eric King guide.
Thin flat stock handbill is in near mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; really nothing more than a few ULTRA-soft handling dings here and there, a pair of light press marks/streaks along the left margin and a couple of tiny edge/corner-tip bends, otherwise it is a mostly-clean example of this always-in-demand EARLY Family Dog handbill.
