Description

Original 1st printing (thin stock) 5&1/8 x 8&3/8" blank-reverse concert handbill for Jefferson Airplane appearing with Andrew Staples and the P.H. Phactor Jug Band on 9/2-3/1966, the Grateful Dead appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service and Country Joe & the Fish on 9/4/1966 and Martha & the Vandellas appearing with Johnny Talbot and De Thangs on 9/5/1966, all shows held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA.

Art by Wes Wilson, image is # 26 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.

Medium-thin flat vellum stock handbill is in decent/used (B/B-) condition; there are several tiny pin/staple holes in all four corners, along with a small nip out of the upper right margin, a 1&1/2" diagonal tear (covered with clear tape) in the lower left margin, a series of tiny dings/scratches and a tiny nip tear or two scattered around the outer margin area, a few stray handling dings and hairline-thin bends here and there and a piece of clear tape, a few pin-prick spots and a couple of tiny pulls on the reverse... definitely a well-traveled example, but it's all there and still quite presentable.
