Original 1st printing 14 x 21&3/4" (top and bottom margins trimmed appx. 1/8" on either side) concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing with Santana and Chicago (Transit Authority) at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, CA from 9/12-14/1968.

 Art by (and SIGNED in black razor-tip pen by Rick Griffin, image ("Heart & Torch") is # 136 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series. *this example has also been embossed in the lower right corner with Rick's personal "Heart & Torch" stamp

 Medium-thick flat index stock poster is in decent (B/B-) condition; aside from the aforementioned edge trimming, there is a bit of fading/toning to the paper, along with a fair amount of moisture wear/paper rippling and a few light stains along the lower half of the poster, a thin strip of discoloration/matte burn going around the outer margin area and a tiny white vertical scrape/scratch along the left margin, otherwise OK.

 While this example certainly has its share of conditional issues, it is still in presentable shape and comes with not only Rick's signature, but his personal stamp featuring the exact design from the poster... VERY cool piece.
