Description

 Original 1st (early 1970's-era California Graphic Exchange commemorative) printing 14 x 20" concert poster for Frank Zappa (and the Mothers of Invention) appearing with Alice Cooper at California State University in Fullerton, CA on 11/8/1968. (*actual concert date was 3/15/1969)

  Art by (and SIGNED in pencil by) Rick Griffin, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 372 (plate 4.124). *poster is also embossed in the lower left corner with Rick's "Heart & Torch" stamp

 Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in good (B) condition; there are semi-pronounced moisture stains scattered along the lower third of the poster (most visibly above "Nov. 8" and "8 P.M." and around "Alice Cooper"), along with a couple of minuscule edge dings, a touch of toning (mostly on the reverse) and a bit of light moiusture rippling to the paper, otherwise it is a very presentable ARTIST-SIGNED and EMBOSSED example of this always-in-demand Rick Griffin poster.
