Original 1st printing 20 x 14&3/8" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin) appearing with Charles Lloyd and the Sir Douglas Quintet at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 3/17-18/1967. 

 Art by Rick Griffin (and Michaelangelo), image ("Contact") is # 52 in the Family Dog/Avalon series. 

 Medium-thinck flat index stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; there are a few fairly light handling creases and tiny hairline-thin bends scattered along the upper margin area, along with a soft handling ding or two hiding within the image area, a hint of toning along the bottom margin and a couple of tiny corner-tip pressure creases, otherwise fine.

 The first printing editions of this poster have been getting harder to find over the last few years, this is one of the nicer-looking examples that I have come across.
