Original 1st printing 19 x 26" silkscreen concert/event poster for the (Fourth Annual) Big Sur Folk Festival, held at Esalen Hot Springs in Big Sur, CA on 6/28-29/1967.

 Art by J. Myrick, poster lists festival participants: Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Mimi Fariña, Mark Spolestra and the Jade Muse, Malvina Reynolds, Al Kooper (Blues Project/Bob Dylan/BS&T) and the Chambers Brothers.

 Medium-thick flat index stock hand-pulled silkscreen poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; there are numerous staple holes/pulls (all four corners, along the outer margin area and a few hiding within the image area), along with a 1/2 x 1/4" wedge hole in the lower left corner, a jagged 1" tear in the bottom center margin (sealed on the reverse with clear tape), hand-written (in black flair pen) ticket outlet information along the bottom margin, a few tiny pin-prick spots, tiny scuffs, minor stress creases and thin scratches hiding within the image area, a few stray edge dings scattered around the outer margins and a thin tape pull on the reverse, otherwise OK.

 An absolutely GORGEOUS poster from the 1967 edition of the annual folk music get-together, printed with ultra-bright florescent ink and featuring a great period design. Read more about Esalen HERE:
