Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing with the Sons of Champlin, Congress of Wonders, Curly Cooke's Hurdy-Gurdy Band, Indian Head Band, Ace of Cups and Phoenix at the Straight Theater in San Francisco, CA on 4/24/1968. *benefit for the Straight
Art by San Andreas Fault (Tad Hunter), thin flat stock flyer is in very good (B/B+) condition; there are several thin horizontal/vertical creases/folds (item was folded into 1/8ths and flattened), along with a light amount of handling wear, a bit of edge creasing, a 3" diagonal bend in the upper left corner and a couple of pin-prick stains on the reverse side, otherwise fine.
Neat-looking Marvel/DC Comics-inspired benefit flyer from early 1968, this example comes from the collection of legendary actor/DJ Howard Hesseman.
