Original 1st printing 3&5/8 x 5&1/2" concert handbill and 2&7/8 x 4&1/8" unused ticket for "Spring Medicine Show"- a two-day benefit for the Haight-Ashbury Free Medical Clinic, held at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 5/28-29/1968.
Handbill/ticket lists appearances by: Allmen Joy, Santana (Blues Band), A.B. Skhy, Phoenix, It's a Beautiful Day, Indian Head Band, Loading Zone, Linn County, Country Weather, Initial Shock, Mint Tattoo and Crystal Syphon.
Art by San Andreas Fault (Tad Hunter), image is an un-numbered part of the Family Dog series (FD-680528 in Eric King's guide, the image falls between FD numbers 120 and 121).
Medium-thick flat index stock handbill and ticket are both in excellent (B+) condition; both items have a trace of handling wear- the ticket has a small pinch bend and a tiny horizontal crease in the left center margin and the handbill has a touch of toning, a few tiny pin-prick spots and a couple of slightly soft corner tips, but overall they are both in really nice shape.
VERY uncommon mid-'68 pair of oddball Avalon artifacts.
