Description

Original 1st printing 20&1/2 x 14&1/2" schedule/marquee-style concert poster for a series of Bill Graham-produced 1971 shows held at the Oakland Coliseum, Winterland, San Francisco Civic Auditorium and Berkeley Community Theatre.

Shows listed include: Led Zeppelin (BCT 9/13-14), It's A Beautiful Day, Van Morrison, Elvin Bishop and Grootna (Winterland, 9/17-18), Alice Cooper, Cold Blood and Glass Harp (Winterland 9/24-25), Black Sabbath and Groundhog (Winterland, 10/1-2), Jesus Christ Superstar (Oakland 10/2-3), the Allman Brothers Band and Cowboy (Winterland, 10/8-9), David Crosby & Graham Nash with Judee Sill (BCT 10/14-15), Pink Floyd (Winterland, 10/15), Gordon Lightfoot (BCT 10/17), Donovan (SF Civic, 10/24), Grand Funk Railroad (Oakland, 10/24), Traffic (Winterland, 10/28-29), Jeff Beck (Winterland, 10/30), Ten Years After (Winterland, 10/12), Sha-Na-Na (Winterland, 10/25-27) and the Who (SF Civic, 12/12-13).

Design by (and SIGNED in silver ink by) Randy Tuten, medium flat index stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; there is a 2&1/2" long vertical/diagonal pressure crease along the lower left margin, along with a few tiny edge dings/handling creases scattered along the top margin, a light amount of surface scuffing along the right side of the poster and a stray pinch ding or two lurking within the image area, otherwise it is a VERY sharp ARTIST-SIGNED example of this early-'70's BGP schedule poster with a HUGE all-star lineup.
