Original 1st printing 14 x 20&1/8" concert poster for "Death and Transfiguration", a two-day "happening"/event presented by the Stockville Light Express and featuring local bands the Plastic Explosion and the Plague at Webb's in Stockton, CA on 4/14-15/1967.
Art by Victor Moscoso, image is # 13(C) in the Neon Rose series, this version has been overprinted in black (at a later date) with the phrase "99 out of 100 heads agree, there is nothing like a Grateful Dead concert".
Medium flat index stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; just a trio of tiny pin holes in the upper left/right corner tips and in the top center margin, a single tack hole in the bottom center margin and a hint of corner-tip wear in the upper left/right corners, otherwise fine.
According to the consignor, this version of the poster was created much later (the 1970's, maybe?) when an art teacher in Alameda had the idea to utilize a leftover stack of them for a class silkscreening project!
