Description

 Original 1st printing 7&1/2 x 15" oversized flyer for the July-August 1966 schedule of concerts presented by Leonard Ruskin, held at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium in Queens, NY;

 Shows listed include: the Rolling Stones (7/2), Sammy Davis, Jr. with Count Basie Orchestra and Jay and the Americans (7/8-9), Andy Williams with Henry Mancini Orchestra (7/30), the Mamas & the Papas with Simon & Garfunkel (8/6), Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass (8/13), the Supremes with Stevie Wonder and the Temptations (8/20) and Ray Charles (8/27).

 Designer/printer unknown/not credited, thin flat stock flyer is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; there is a single punch hole in the top center margin and a semi-flattened horizontal center fold (as issued), along with a 4" diagonal bend in the lower right corner/margin, a few soft pin-prick splatter marks and light smudges hiding within the image area, a few ultra-tiny edge nips and semi-soft handling dings scattered around the outer margin area and a soft roll bend with a touch of toning and a tiny nip in the upper left corner/margin, otherwise it is a fine-looking example of this MEGA-SCARCE 1966 Stones concert artifact from an early NYC-area appearance.

 Fun side note: the Stones show was part of the plotline of an episode of AMC's "Mad Men" (season 5, episode 3, "Tea Leaves"), where Don Draper is tasked with attempting to recruit the Stones for a Heinz commercial;
